On May 9, 2024, we successfully held our opening meeting titled “ISSUP Turkiye Launch & Gaming and Gaming Disorder: Beyond the Obvious” with 751 registrations and 241 live participants from 57 different countries. This event was organized to celebrate the establishment of ISSUP Turkiye and to raise awareness about gaming and gaming disorder.

During our meeting, an invaluable speech and presentation delved into the depths of gaming and gaming disorder, going beyond the surface of these issues.

Following the opening remarks by Dr Rabia Bilici, the president of the Addiction Psychiatry Foundation of Turkiye, participants had the opportunity to gain important insights and a broader perspective on the challenges encountered in this field through a presentation by Dr. Yatan Pal Singh Balhara, moderated by Dr. Mehmet Serhat Yildirim.

We would like to thank all the speakers and participants who took part in this significant event. As ISSUP Turkiye, we will continue to raise awareness and support work in the field of substance and behavioral addictions.
